We always had a love hate relationship with our teachers. We were lucky to have a few teachers who loved us and helped us in all our endeavors. At the same time we also had bad experiences from some teachers.
When we joined the college our Head of the Department was Prof. Jishnu, one of the most loving and caring teachers we have ever seen. He was our HOD for two and a half years and then left the college. Sweet memories of the warmth, love and care he extended to us still remain in our heart.
Our next HOD was Prof.K.R.Vargheese, a real genius. He is a person of immense vocabulary and we were often baffled by the words he used in the class. Though he was a person of incomparable intelligence we loved his class and sense of humour.
Undoubtedly our favorite teacher was Prof. Raghavan. Raghavan Sir, as we call him, was in charge of our workshop. No other teacher has scolded and made fun of us so much. But he won the love and respect of all of us. He used to give each and everyone of us different jobs saying we were unfit to be engineers. The jobs ranged from driving auto rickshaw and selling nuts to fishing and catching frogs. But he was the teacher most loved by each and every student. We consider ourselves the most lucky students to have had a teacher like him.
